Cancellation of 2020 International Gathering of Clan MacKenzie in Scotland

It is with a heavy heart and great disappointment that, following the CMSSUK committee meeting last night, I am writing to inform you that, like many, we have been navigating these unprecedented times, trying to do the best for our Society and our members. In light of the latest Government guidance, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our International Gathering this year. Our priority is to support the global efforts to suppress the COVID-19 pandemic and do what is right for both our attendees and nation.

This was a unanimous committee decision. At this stage ,and in light of the uncertainty of the long term impact of Covid-19, we have no plans to reschedule the event at present. The world is certainly a different place from a few months ago.

The thoughts of the committee are with you all in these difficult times. Stay safe, stay well and look after one another.

Can I please remind you to cancel your accommodation in both Lewis and Inverness. I will be letting the Hotel group on Lewis know the news but I suggest you cancel directly yourselves as you have your own booking code from them. Again if you have booked your own accommodation on Lewis please make sure you cancel.
